Amdg Potatoes Lab Report AIM: Movement of water into and key out of the potato. Apparatus: Cork Borer, Potato, Test Tubes x2, sucrose Solution, Rack mode: 1. We stack away Test supplys and labled them A & B. 2. We half change the the scrutiny vacuum tubes with 0.1M of Sucrose solution and 1M Sucrose solution 3. collect a potato and apply a cork rock drill to cut out 2 cylinders from the potato. 4. The cylinders were trimmed to equal length. 5. The cylinders were arid to remove the liquid from the outermost surface. 6. They were gently squeezed to feel it was nutty or firm. 7. We used an electronic balance & weighed both cylinders and took a note of its initial mass. 8. consequently we immersed the cylinders int o the test tubes A & B 9. After 40 minuets we took flock the consequences. Results ----------------------- 0.1M 1M Initial Weight - 4.0g 4.0g terminal Weight 5.13g 3.86g 0.1M: +3.25% 1M: -3.5% Class Results: give ear 0.1M 1.0M E+B +7.3% -7.3% M+S +2.13% -4.35% K+C +4.3% -8.
5% M-L+S +8.6% -2.6% F+M -23.8% -2.7% S+A +47.6% -19.4% S+S +2.95% -8.33% C+S ! +3.25% -3.5% H+E +2.5% -2.6% J+M +5.9% -5.9% Conclusion: In the 0.1M sucrose test tube showed that my result was +3.25% and that the class average was +6.07% In the 1M sucrose test tube showed that my result was -3.5% and the class average was -8.97% Evaluation If the potatoes were not turn on paper towel each time whence the results would be invalid because then the potato cylinder wouldve had to a greater extent mass before we started the experiment. To make this experiment more staunch then we induct a class average. If you want to retrieve a full essay, order it on our website: BestEssayCheap.com
